On Tuesday, January 5, First Selectman Gregg Schuster spoke at the Colchester Business Association (CBA) monthly dinner meeting at the Cragin Memorial Library. He discussed what he has learned over the past several weeks as First Selectman, and touched on future plans for the town. Schuster spoke about ways that businesses could become involved and volunteer opportunities that are available. He mentioned that despite the economic uncertainties, the town is growing, new businesses are opening, and new opportunities are available. Don Kennedy, from the Colchester Board of Education, discussed how the board has plans to become more involved with town organizations and has created a liaison position that will work closely with town businesses to increase student business education and work preparedness.
Attendees were local business members and CBA members. There was a question and answer period.
“We greatly appreciate the town and board of educations interest in working with local businesses,” said Jack Faski, CBA President and Owner Broker of Skyview Realty. “We are eager to work with them to help the Colchester community.”
